Do I need a consultant in Mumbai to register with CIB&RC?
No. CIB&RC is a central authority and registrations are filed centrally, so your consultant does not need to be located in Mumbai. What matters is familiarity with the Registration Committee's expectations and access to it. State-level licensing for manufacture and sale, however, is handled with the Maharashtra authorities.

Can CIBRC registration be done from Mumbai?
Yes. CIB&RC is a central authority, so applicants anywhere in India file through the same route. Your location affects State licensing for manufacture and sale, not the central registration itself.
Do I need separate licences to sell in Maharashtra?
Yes. Manufacturing and sale licences are issued at State level. You need a sale licence in every State where the product is distributed, in addition to the central registration.
Which registration route applies to my product?
It depends on whether the same insecticide is already registered in India. If it is, Section 9(4) me-too registration is usually available and is far quicker and cheaper. If not, Section 9(3) applies with a full data package. Establishing this is the first analysis worth doing.
How do you handle queries and follow-up?
