Do I need a consultant in Bengaluru to register with CIB&RC?
No. CIB&RC is a central authority and registrations are filed centrally, so your consultant does not need to be located in Bengaluru. What matters is familiarity with the Registration Committee's expectations and access to it. State-level licensing for manufacture and sale, however, is handled with the Karnataka authorities.
The Bengaluru agrochemical sector

Registration work originating in Bengaluru is disproportionately biological, and that changes what matters. For microbial products the difficult requirements are strain characterisation and deposit, freedom from contaminants, and above all viable count stability through the claimed shelf life under Indian storage conditions.
The other defining feature is regime ambiguity. Karnataka's biological companies develop products that can plausibly be positioned as bio-pesticides under the Insecticides Act or as biostimulants under the Fertiliser (Control) Order, depending on the claim made. Choosing that positioning before data generation begins is the most consequential decision in the project, and reversing it later means substantially restarting the programme.
Research-stage companies and institutional spinouts in the region also frequently need permits for research, test and trial before a registration pathway opens.

This split is worth understanding before planning a launch. A central registration alone does not let you sell — you also need the State licences in every market you distribute into, and that sequencing is where national launches most often slip.

How we work with clients outside Faridabad
Our office is in Faridabad, close to the regulatory authorities, which is where the work of following a file actually happens. Client engagement runs on documents, calls and site visits where the project needs them — for example when a manufacturing process has to be documented for a non-insecticidal use application, or when a plant is being prepared for licensing.
For Bengaluru clients this arrangement is usually an advantage rather than a compromise. Proximity to CIB&RC matters far more to a file's progress than proximity to the client, and query rounds are resolved faster when someone can attend in person.

Do you have an office in Bengaluru?
Our office is in Faridabad, Haryana, adjacent to the regulatory authorities. Because CIB&RC registration is filed and pursued centrally, proximity to the authority helps a file more than proximity to the client.
Can CIBRC registration be done from Bengaluru?
Yes. CIB&RC is a central authority, so applicants anywhere in India file through the same route. Your location affects State licensing for manufacture and sale, not the central registration itself.
Do I need separate licences to sell in Karnataka?
Yes. Manufacturing and sale licences are issued at State level. You need a sale licence in every State where the product is distributed, in addition to the central registration.
Which registration route applies to my product?
It depends on whether the same insecticide is already registered in India. If it is, Section 9(4) me-too registration is usually available and is far quicker and cheaper. If not, Section 9(3) applies with a full data package. Establishing this is the first analysis worth doing.
How do you handle queries and follow-up?
